Full course description

This collaborative training between The Herr Clinic & The Racial Trauma Task Force explores how generational and gendered-racial trauma shape Black women’s lived experiences and clinical presentations. Systemic and cultural influences that contribute to identity development, coping patterns, and mental health outcomes will be examined. We will review trauma-informed and culturally responsive frameworks for conceptualizing client concerns and invite participants to reflect on their own positionality, bias, and worldview to strengthen cultural humility and clinical competence. This training earns all participants 1.5 CEU through NBCC.

Participants are encouraged to bring lunch to enjoy during the training; the clinic will provide additional snacks/drinks.

Free to PSU students/staff/faculty, $20 for all other participants
